Hope everybody have their travel plans and hotels booked for WARR 2010 in London. A special reminder is that this year there is no onsite registration. All registration must be done online before September 22, 2010. The team in london have done a great deal of work planning and preparing and are excited to be the host of this years event.

London is a great place, from visiting fairy tale locations, shopping on the high street to having a pint at the pub. Have a great WARR in London. GO JETSETTERS GO!!!

Est-ce tout le monde ont leurs plans de Voyage et hôtels réservés pour WARR 2010 à Londres. Un rappel spécial est que cette année il n’y a pas d’inscription sur place. Toutes les inscriptions doivent se faire en ligne avant le 22 Septembre 2010. L’équipe de Londres ont fait beaucoup de travail de planification et de préparation et nous sommes ravis d’être l’hôte de cet événement ans.

The 29th World Airline Road Race Festival will be held in London from Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25th September 2010 and hosted by the British Airways Athletics Club.

It is time to start making your plans for this event. This year pre-registration will only be allowed. It sound like there will be no registration on-site. Those planning on attending the awards banquet, should sign-up soon as this event always sells out. WARR2010-Registration.

For most North American based staff this should be an easy WARR to attend. Direct flights are available from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax and St. Johns - there is 12 or more flights a day from Canada to London.

Hi All,

So finally we have a new site up and running. Technological issues and time were large factors in getting things together.

The 2009 version of the World Airline Road Race will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 10 -13. All airline staff, families and friends are welcome to join in. By registering for the races (a 5 km and 10 km) race you are eligible to take part in some fantastic special and opportunities available. Special pricing has bee arranged for hotels and tour packages. Below I have copied the highlights from a recent email from the WARR executive. This sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity to see and explore China while at the same time having fun with fellow airline staff. WARR 2009 URGENT IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This year the World Airline Road Race is partnering with Tin Bo Travel and Explorer China Tours in bringing our exciting event to China.

-Tin Bo Travel and Explorer China Tours are the Major Sponsors of this year’s WARR and as you know it is important that we support our sponsors for without them the cost of WARR’s events would easily triple.

-When making your hotel, transportation and tours arrangements go through Tin Bo Travel for your reservations. It will be convenient for you and cheaper, below are several points that will help you with your planning.

-HEADQUARTERS HOTEL - The Headquarters hotel still has a limited number of rooms available through Tin BO Travel.

- RACE DAY - Included with your hotel room and only when booked through Tin Bo Travel is transportation on race day from the hotel to the race site and back.

-Compare the Great China Wall run and WARR with the hotels and Tour arrangements they are less than half the cost.

-Bus transportation if you wish from Shanghai’s Airport directly to your hotel in Hangzhou is available through Tin Bo. (or you can go from Shanghai’s Airport to downtown Shanghai bus depot get a bus to downtown Hangzhou and take another bus or taxi to your hotel. (I don’t know about you but I like convenience and comfort and not getting lost)

-Lors de votre hôtel, de transport et de voyages d’arrangements passer Tin Bo Voyage pour vos réservations. Il sera pratique pour vous et moins cher, voici quelques points qui vont vous aider dans votre planification.

HOTEL-SIÈGE - Le siège de l’hôtel a encore un nombre limité de chambres disponibles dans BO Tin Voyage.

WARR 2008 — Run the Rideau

A wet and soggy day greated this year WARRiors but that did not dampen the spirits. Everybody completed either the 5K or 10K courses that were run along the Rideau Canal down Queen Elizibeth Drive. This years host city, Ottawa, was a great place to hold the event . Stay tuned for photos of the event.

Looking forward to next year? So are we! The 28th running of the World Airline Road Race will be held September 10-15, 2009 in the city of Hangzhou, China. Representives from Hangzhou were on-hand in Ottawa and it sounds like they are planning a fantastic event. Hangzhou is just a few hundred kilometers from Shanghai. The city of Hangzhou will be working with Explore China Tours to provide special pricing on tours before and after WARR. Stay tuned for new on this exciting event. WARR 2009 will be a event not to miss so remember to bid your holidays accordingly.

WARR 2008 - Exécutez le Rideau
